Mara Berendt Friedman has been creating paintings that honor the Feminine aspect of Spirit for more than a decade. Her imagery draws inspiration from cultures around the world, from the cycle of the seasons and from universal symbols and form. Ms. Friedman's work blends diverse influences, from the paintings of Georgia O'Keeffe and Chagall to Tibetan, Hindu, Aboriginal, African and Native American art.
The Art of Mara Friedman 2008 wall calendar features thirteen enchanting images inspired by the artist's deep appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us all. Ms. Friedman is the illustrator of the Triple Goddess Tarot and was one of nineteen artists participating in the 2004 Mythic Journeys Art Exhibition honoring Joseph Campbell. Her work has been featured in numerous books, calendars and other publications worldwide.
