Sample text from card back:Avalokiteshvara Compassion, Vision, Protection, Healing Avalokiteshvara is the bodhisattva of compassion and protector of Tibet, incarnate in the lineage of Dalai Lamas. His thousand eyes allow him to see the suffering of this world. With his thousand arms he is able to assist the myriad of sentient beings. He has eleven faces, the top of which is Amitabha, the Buddha to whose family he belongs. In his hand he holds the precious jewel of enlightenment, which symbolizes true compassion for all beings. The Tibetan word for Avalokiteshvara is Chenrezig. Suggested meditation for compassion and wisdom: Relax your body; breathe slowly and deeply, allowing your mind to clear. Visualize the image of Avalokiteshvara standing in front of you. With devotion in your heart, repeat 108 times (you can use a bead mala) the mantra: "Om mani padme hum hrih!" Your purchase of this card helps to support a variety of Tibetan aid organizations. Text and Artwork © 2004 Amber Lotus Publishing. All rights reserved.
