Protection and Goodness

Green Tara is the loving goddess who protects us against dangers and removes all inner and outer hindrances to our awakening. Her green color represents miraculous wisdom, powered by the energy of compassionately transmuted envy. It is said her face shines as splendidly as a hundred full harvest moons, ablaze with laughing light-rays, like the host of a thousand stars. Here her hands are poised in the gesture of teaching, while her feet are relaxed in a playful posture. She invites us to enjoy her teachings!

Suggested meditation for protection and removing obstacles:
Relax your body; breathe slowly and deeply allowing your mind to clear. Visualize the image of Green Tara sitting in front of you. Imagine a beautiful emerald green light flowing out of Tara's heart and into yours, filling you with sweet compassion as you chant 108 times (you can use a bead mala) her mantra (with a sweet low tune): "Om tare tuttare ture svaha!"
