Donald Robertson is a psychotherapist specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy and the treatment of anxiety. Robertson's background is in academic philosophy with a special interest in the relationship between ancient philosophy — especially Stoicism — and modern psychotherapy. He has been writing about Stoicism and conducting training courses on this philosophy for nearly 20 years, and he runs a popular online course titled "How to Think Like a Roman Emperor," which discusses the Stoic philosophy of Marcus Aurelius. Robertson is a founding member of the Modern Stoicism organization, which hosts the annual Stoicon conference on modern Stoicism and the Stoic Week online event.
